A Zinc Fountain
In the collection are many pieces of a zinc fountain. Water would have spouted from the mouths of at least four fish. There was also a bird’s or angel’s wing as part of the fountain. Does anyone know where this fountain was located, was it in Putney, who donated it, have any pictures of it?
Eye Stones?
Inez Harlow donated to the PHS a small glass bottle, probably originally for perfume, containing what she identified as “eye stones used to remove foreign bodies from eyes”. We have tried to find information on these with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?
