Sept 23rd, Sunday at 2 for annual meeting—possibly at Community Center—need to call Rosemary Bryant 387-6002 to confirm.
Nominating committee—Ruth, Jane, Laurel. They’ll come up with the slate. New board member to be, Maryanne Toffolon. Need other new members.
Discussed four meetings a year, with newsletters and programs associated. Then other work is by committee. Museum/deaccession committee, programs committee, newsletter committee, nominating committee. We are likely to head to this model. Will discuss at annual meeting
Possible programs. VHS—Paul Carnahan to talk about the collection. Walkabouts—small section of town and associated research. Ice cream social and music. Fashion show. CHP grant with school—Angela Walton. Stone structures—Paul Gustafson.
Need to sell painted chest. Dick Michelman could help. We’ll see if Barbara will look into that. Ruth will ask Barbara. Tom will email Lee Keno, who has some knowledge.
Possible interviewees for annual meeting program: Marilyn Loomis, Gladys Miller, (Dwight Miller), Laura Heller, Craig Stead, (Stuart will call all of them). Also—possible others include Cary Carpender, Mac Jones, Louisa Amidon. Students will be sought—Laurie Fichter of Grammar School may help.
Newsletter deadline August 25th. Stuart chairing committee.
