PHS creating new home, and performing arts center

On March 12, the PHS board voted unanimously to move ahead with both a new home for the historical society and a capable, accessible performing arts center at the former United Church of Putney. We are following recommendations of the recently completed feasibility study led by architect Chip Greenberg, available at: Church feasibility study [zip]. This is a very big decision, and we ask that PHS members come and give their feedback and approval on Sunday, April 17, at 1:30 pm at the church. We will be in the first floor, fully accessible areas.
We hope that PHS members and others will review the study and attend the meeting, and we are thrilled at the possibility of further establishing Putney as a center of arts and culture.
